Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide on-call, as needed pumping, hauling, and disposal of wastewater and solid waste (sludge) from chemical holding ponds and underground tanks located at the Area Headquarters (AHQ) within Prince William County in the Northern Virginia (NOVA) District. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, and incidentals to pump, haul, and dispose of chloride-contaminated water and debris from holding ponds and tanks to an approved dump site; The Contractor shall furnish all qualified supervision, labor, equipment, and incidentals to successfully pump, haul, and dispose of wastewater from the following chemical holding ponds and underground tanks at Area Headquarters located within the Prince William Residency, NOVA District. VDOT reserves the right to add and delete locations as needed or required. Frequency of Wastewater Pumping: Pumping shall be required by VDOT when it is determined the holding pond is at a certain level of salinity and/or have surpassed storage capacity. Total gallons pumped and frequency of pumping will vary and may depend on rainfall and/or frequency of snow removal operations.
