1. Purpose: The purpose is to provide much needed replacement of severely damaged carpet in the hallways of Regimental Memorial Chapel
2. Scope: The objective is to remove and haul away carpet and pad, conduct basic subfloor preparation, and install Vinyl Plank Tile with subfloor adhesive. This flooring would resist stains and gouges.
2.1 Current Status: Currently, the existing carpeting is damaged beyond repair due to excessive stains, wear and tear. Attempts to clean and repair the existing carpeting are no longer able to make a difference.
2.2 End State Objective: The end state objective is for the chapel to have a welcoming atmosphere with a clean, low maintenance flooring that will last.
3. Period and Place of Performance and Constraints: The operations of the chapel will continue throughout the removal and replacement of the flooring. This means work will need to be conducted in stages for the least possible impact on services.
4. Operating Constraints: Vendor must be able to provide all requirements to meet mission objectives in accordance with this SOO.
FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds.
Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
