A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. This project consists of renovations to an existing Gymnatorium and Stage in a singlestory building of approximately 4,420 S.F., within the existing Campus for Student Success (formerly South Morrison). This project includes interior alterations as designed for these spaces and within the adjacent corridor. Interior work demolishes the existing stage, alters existing load-bearing and non-load-bearing masonry walls and partitions, and provides lintels for new openings, fire-rated HM storefronts and glass. Work includes interior demolition, provision of new interior trim, doors and frames, finishes, ceilings, folding panel walls with structural support, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and electrical work. 2. All work shall be constructed in accordance with the 2021 Virginia Existing Building Code (VEBC). The existing school is unsprinkled. B. The scope of work includes the Base Bid delineated in the Contract Drawings and Specifications. Allowances and Unit Prices shall be included in the Base Bid. C. Furnish all labor and materials to construct the project as indicated on the Contract Documents. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Layout of the work. 2. Construction access. 3. Coordination with subcontractors, inspectors, City and other agencies. 4. Coordination with testing laboratories as designated in the documents. 5. Renovation of the proposed areas. 6. Cleanup and disposal of all construction materials and debris.
