Specifications include, but are not limited to: Selected artists/muralists will be expected to: • Meet with the Town’s Mural Committee to discuss potential themes and design concepts that will serve to improve Downtown Front Royal’s attractiveness; enhance the ambience in the Downtown area; and drive additional local, regional, and tourist visitation in Downtown. • Develop one or several preliminary design concepts for review by the Town’s Mural Committee once locations for the murals have been finalized. • If finally selected and commissioned to produce a mural, enter into a contract with the Town to complete the design of the mural and paint the mural on the selected location. Selected artists/muralist may be asked to design and execute one or more murals depending on the quality of their RFQ and the preliminary design concepts presented to the Town’s Mural Committee. • Develop a final design for the mural for final review by the Town’s Mural Committee and the respective property owner.
