2.1. Program Representation and Advisory Services • Serve as the CSB’s representative and primary advisor in all matters relating to its participation in VACORP. • Evaluate and advise on the suitability and adequacy of coverages, limits, and deductibles offered through VACORP or comparable alternatives, ensuring alignment with the CSB’s operational and financial risk profile. 2.2. Coverage Review and Recommendations • Provide annual and as-needed reviews of VACORP coverage documents, terms, conditions, and endorsements to ensure they accurately reflect the CSB’s exposures and negotiated coverages. Recommend adjustments to coverage as needed, including endorsements, changes in limits, or supplemental insurance outside of VACORP. 2.3. Risk Management and Loss Control Support • Advise the CSB on best practices in risk management to reduce exposures and losses. • Provide consultative services on loss prevention and risk mitigation strategies aligned with VACORP’s offerings. • Coordinate with VACORP’s loss control representatives and ensure CSB’s access to available resources and support. 2.4. Claims Advocacy and Support • Assist the CSB with the claims process, including reporting, documentation, status tracking, and resolution support. • Serve as a liaison with VACORP on complex or disputed claims, and advocate on behalf of the CSB. • Provide regular claims reports and analysis, including identification of trends and potential loss drivers. 2.5. Market Analysis and Benchmarking • Provide periodic benchmarking reports comparing VACORP’s program to similar public entity insurance pools or commercial options (if applicable). • Advise the CSB of changes in the insurance marketplace or legislative/regulatory environment that may affect its risk exposures or participation in VACORP. 2.6. General Administrative Support • Coordinate and review renewal submissions, applications, and underwriting data required by VACORP. • Provide timely responses to insurance-related inquiries and documentation requests. • Attend meetings with CSB staff, governing bodies, or VACORP representatives as needed. 2.7. Compliance and Ethical Conduct • Ensure all services are provided in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those governing procurement and public contracting in the Commonwealth of Virginia. • Act in a fiduciary capacity and avoid any conflicts of interest, disclosing any existing or potential conflicts to the CSB promptly.
