Additional pads or half pads may be used in shimming for post alignment, maximum thickness of pad build-up not to exceed . Where more tilting of post is required, the concrete area shall be ground down. Rail post shall be set normal with respect lo the profile grade and plumb in the transverse direction, regardless of the cross slope. Posts shall be malleable 'iron, or carbon steel cast - ings, and galvanized to ASTM A-153.
