The Contractor shall provide as needed, experienced personnel, equipment, tools, materials, personal protective equipment, and all incidentals as necessary for safe and efficient operation. Contractor is required to have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in providing the type of work outlined in this IFB. The work will consist of, but not be limited to concrete deck repair, approach slab repair, bridge decks and joints, parapets, railings and related items on bridge decks and any related environmental protection work, and other types of related bridge deck maintenance and repair. Work shall be performed on an as needed basis under VDOT direction and oversite. All work shall conform to applicable safety and environmental requirements. The contractor shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of VDOT that they have the capability to perform the services required under this contract by noting experience in similar work, experience with bridge maintenance work, and/or prior VDOT experience. The Contractor shall have the ability to accomplish multiple operations in multiple counties simultaneously. The Contractor shall provide traffic control measures for each work location. VDOT reserves the right to perform any type of work within the limits of this operation. The Contractor shall work with VDOT and other Contractors as necessary.
