Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project is generally comprised of, but not limited to, the following work: The Project currently consists of the construction of a 10 classroom addition, including 8 general education classrooms and 2 Science Labs, bathrooms and miscellaneous support spaces, in two stories totaling about 15,000 GBSF, at Briar Woods High School. The scope of work also includes removal of existing modular classrooms onsite and restoration of the site. The school will be occupied and in operation during the construction. The work may include, but is not limited to: Site grading and utility work; Construction of a classroom building addition; Restrooms; Lighting installations and modifications; Security installations and modifications; Communications and Data installations; Building tie-ins; Fire Alarm system installations and modifications; Fire Sprinkler system installations and modifications; Electrical installations and modifications Interior Storefront installations and modifications; Door Hardware installations and modifications; Security System installation and modification; Glass and Glazing installations and modifications; Flooring installations and modifications; Ceiling installations and modifications. Portions of the work will significantly impact the operation of the school; therefore, these portions of the work must be completed during the Summer and Winter Breaks of 2022. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2nd Quarter of 2022. Substantial Completion is anticipated to be no later than late May 2023 with Final Completion including removal and restoration work associated with the modular classrooms no later than August 1, 2023.
