The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gauge the level of interest and capacity to fulfill the following contracting requirements. DOF is seeking private consulting forestry firms to verify these estimates. This would include the following tasks: Review initial assessment provided by DOF and compare with current imagery (provided by DOF). Confirm timber types, timber size, and damage classes and acreages. If confidence level is high, confirm, or provide updates to maps and initial assessment and submit to DOF. If further verification is warranted, visit site to check and inform estimate. This may include confirmation of timber type, timber size, site productivity and damage classes. Update data and map. No timber measurement or plot measurement is required. Drones can be used if landowner approves. Output to DOF will be an updated spreadsheet and map for each property.
