Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Develop a long term strategic vision with goals, core programs, and structure for a comprehensive benefit and wellness strategy including the integration and implementation of disease prevention and health improvement. B. Recommend innovative benefit and wellness options to attract and retain quality employees. C. Provide the City with options to control the cost of benefits to include nationally benchmarked strategies. D. Provide support and direction on national health care reform legislation, benefit and wellness program design, and cost containment. E. Keep the City abreast of compliance changes with laws or regulations in benefits and wellness areas to include, but not be limited to the Internal Revenue Service Code, HIPAA, COBRA, and Affordable Care Act.
