Chimney work in cabins 1, 2, 4, 11, and 12 1. Cover floors/deck to protect existing flooring/deck and surrounding areas from damage, dirt, and debris. 2. Demo and removal of existing units and fireplace and stone veneer. Removed materials and debris must be disposed of by the contractor. Materials and debris must not be placed or stored on interior or deck surfaces. 3. Reframing modifications as needed to reframe the new fireplace, installation of new stainless-steel fireplace (Odvilla 36T B or approved equivalent). Specifications of equivalents must be submitted with the bid. 4. Installation of ½” Durock with screws and tile installation of (Gleeze Grigio 2”x 6” - Morris Tile in Richmond VA) adhered using a latex modified thinset mortar with 1/8” grout lines to be filled with a non-sanded grout (color to TBD). 5. Replace all wood trims and match all stain colors. Park staff will approve final color. 6. Install stainless steel liners in all cabin chimneys. 7. Install stainless steel flue dampers in all cabin chimneys. 8. Install replacement stainless steel chimney caps with expandable metal spark arrestors in all cabin chimneys. Meeting Hall: (Non-Vented Gas Logs) 9. Replace current gas logs with Real Frye non-vented gas log set with manual controls or approved equivalent. Specifications of equivalents must be submitted with bid. 929 Oak Hill Road Residence: (For Wood Fires) 1. Install replacement stainless steel chimney caps with expandable metal spark arrestors 1. Install stainless steel flue liner. 2. Reconstruct smoke chamber 3. Replace damper plate, or install damper chimney cap. 4. Pressure wash chimney, repair mortar/hips and waterproof. 5. Caulk where siding meets the chimney. 17 Sports Lane Residence: (Non vented Gas Logs with remote control) 1. Remove silicone from damper frame and lintel bar areas. 2. Repair mortar in fire box. 3. Repairs to smoke chamber, missing mortar and corbel 4. Replace current gas logs with Real Frye non-vented gas logs with remote control or approved equivalent. CSIA-Certified Chimney Inspection shall be performed for all cabin chimneys and residence once all work is completed. Inspection report to be sent to the issuing agency. All materials must be new and in good condition. 4. All materials must be installed per manufacturers’ specifications. 5. All materials not reused must be disposed of by the contractor. 6. Clean all project areas.
