1. Routine Maintenance Services: The routine maintenance work shall consist of but not be limited to; minor repair to riser trash racks, brush cutting, weed eating, mowing, herbicide application, general manual labor, and disposal of all generated and collected debris. Landfill fees associated with trash/ debris removal and disposal shall be included in the unit price bid. Pricing shall also include all labor, supervision, fuel, traffic control, tools, parts, supplies and incidentals, equipment, and materials, etc. Routine Maintenance Services will be paid by Basin type per cycle. See Section VI, Method of Payment, for pricing schedule information. Routine Maintenance Services shall also include debris and litter removal, routine maintenance sediment removal and disposal, vegetation control to include woody vegetation removal, eradication of invasive or noxious plant species to include, but not limited to; poisonous plants such as poison ivy, poison oak, and Virginia creeper. All access roads, if present, shall be mowed for easy access to the Storm Water Management Basin (BMP). 2. Repair Services: The Contractor shall provide equipment, qualified operators, laborers, supervision, fuel, traffic control, tools, parts, supplies and incidentals, small equipment, and materials as necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the required equipment to perform incidental construction, repair operations, maintenance/maintenance replacement work, and critical/urgent work on BMPs as requested by the VDOT Contract Administrator or designee. Work shall include but is not limited to; restoring access, repair services, sediment removal, repair of outlet protection, repair of erosion, repair of structural deficiencies, in-kind replacement of dead plantings and vegetation, incidental concrete repairs, repair/filling of animal burrows, pipe replacement, removal of blockages from inlet/outlet structures, exercising/repairing of gate valves, replacement of filter media, and repairs due to storm events.
