The scope of this initiative is to procure an automated road skills test solution (the Solution) that leverages smartphone mobile device technology, enabling DMV customers to self-administer the DMV road test, eliminating the need to have a DMV examiner in the vehicle with the person being tested. The Solution will incorporate advancements in testing and technology to create a new and innovative approach for driver skills testing. The scope includes the Contractor deploying the Solution at designated DMV CSCs statewide in iterative deployment “waves” to automate and standardize road tests, reduce operational costs, capture all errors occurring during a road test, and enhance safety for both examiners and test-takers. The Solution shall capture detailed data on driving performance that will provide insights that can be used to refine the testing process and promote safer driving behaviors. The Solution shall include: a. A fully integrated and automated services Solution deployed at DMV CSCs designated by DMV that meets the needs and requirements defined in this requirements document. b. Electronic interfaces to DMV systems in support of business and transaction processes. c. Automated collection, storage, and reporting of transaction processing and testing activity, audit information, and statistics.
