Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified Virginia Licensed, Class A Contractors with a Highway Heavy specialty firms to provide Paving Crew(s) to perform “patching operations” in areas designated by the VDOT Contract Administrator or his designee, in Amherst, Appomattox, Campbell & Nelson Counties, Virginia, Appomattox Residency, on Primary and Secondary routes. Work will consist of repairing winter breakup and asphalt failures on various routes throughout Amherst, Appomattox, Campbell and Nelson Counties and will include removing deteriorated pavement, disposal of unsuitable materials, cleaning the area and repairing with the appropriate asphalt plant mixes. The Contractor shall transport the material to the job sites from the asphalt plant located closest in proximity to the work areas, and provide all labor and equipment for placement.
