Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is for the procurement of armed security services; The Successful Bidder(s) shall provide armed security guard services at the Berglund Center and various Parking Garages and Lots within the City of Roanoke. 1. General a. The Successful Bidder shall provide armed uniformed security services in and around the Berglund Center on a 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week basis, or as otherwise requested by the City. We are requesting there be two (2) shifts; daytime which will be from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and overnight which will be from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. b. Patrol parking lots for unauthorized vehicles and parking violations c. Security personnel shall provide a variety of services, including, but not limited to the following general tasks: i. Monitor the behavior of visitors to the building and enforce the lobby rules ii. Draft Incident Reports iii. Call the City of Roanoke Police as needed iv. Detain persons as required until Police arrive v. If requested, provide professional assistance with challenging customer conduct issues
