The Master Plan is intended to be comprehensive in nature, looking at opportunities for future development and preservation across properties owned by the University and the Virginia Tech Foundation (“VTF”), including its subsidiary, the Corporate Research Center (“CRC”). Although the primary focus will be Blacksburg and Montgomery County, the University is seeking the option to evaluate and plan in other locations across the Commonwealth where we operate today. The following is a summary of contemplated study areas for the Campus Master Plan update. Land Use Strategy • All Virginia Tech Montgomery County Property, owned and leased • Blacksburg Campus • Agricultural Research and Extension Center (“AREC”) extension and outreach facilities within Montgomery County • Co-planning of VTF properties in Montgomery County, owned and leased o VTF CRC properties and assets o VTF properties and assets in the greater Blacksburg area (with adjacency to Virginia Tech Blacksburg properties and assets) including but not limited to University Mall and Heth Farm o Provisions for a VTF section and separate task order components • Co-planning of Virginia Tech and VTF properties in Roanoke, owned and leased o Scoped as part of the broader Roanoke Innovation Corridor development, informed by Virginia Tech’s partnership with Carilion Clinic, Radford University, and the City of Roanoke o Provisions for a Roanoke section and separate task order components • All AREC properties and assets, owned and leased o Statewide with the exception of Montgomery County assets covered elsewhere o Provisions for an AREC section and separate task order components • Co-planning of Virginia Tech and VTF properties in the Greater District of Columbia (DC) Area o Provisions for a Greater DC Area section and separate task order components...
