Aluminized type II steel arch pipe & bands, as detailed below, in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions contained in this solicitation for the RT 607 Madison County culvert replacement project located on Lillards Ford Rd., Madison County, Oak Park, Virginia. GPS Coordinates: 38.379522, -78.182121 B. Product Description: a. Line 1: 56.00 LF (2 EA – 20’ Sections & 1 EA – 16’ Section) of 10 Gauge 137 inch by 87-inch Aluminized Type II Corrugated Steel Arch Pipe (5” x 1” corrugation) b. Line 2: 2 EA – 24 inch wide 16 Gauge Aluminized bands 137” x 87” C. Product Standards and Requirements: a. Road and Bridge Specifications: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver Aluminized Type II steel arch pipe & bands that meet the following standards: AASHTO M36 & AASHTO M218, as they apply. b. All pipes and bands will be inspected by VDOT and shall confirm to Section 232 of the 2020 VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications or latest version (excluding sections 100-105 and 108). c. VDOT QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAM: All products supplied must be manufactured by a VDOT approved manufacturer. In order to be considered responsive to this bid, the manufacturer that provides the products must be a participant in the VDOT Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program (QA/QC.) Products not from a VDOT approved manufacturer shall be replaced by the Contractor at no additional cost to VDOT. d. Per Section 204.26 of the Materials Manuel of Instructions, Fabricators shall be on the Approved List No. 25. If Bidder is not a Producer/Fabricator on the Approved List No. 25 and the material will not be shipped directly to VDOT, Bidder shall follow the requirements of Section 112.01 and be on Approved List No. 44. Attachment B shall be completed by the Bidder. e. Approved List No. 25 and No. 44 can be found in Attachment B. g. The Bidder shall clearly and specifically identify the product being offered and enclose Attachment D to the response in eVA. If not included with the bid, bidder shall forward to VDOT within two (2) business days of request for the information. Failure to do so may cause the bid to be considered non-responsive. h. Bands shall be delivered with all necessary hardware included for assembly.
