A. Lot 1 General Requirements: 1. The contractor shall be an FAA Certified (Part 61 or Part 141) School in order to provide one (1) VSP Aviation Division Pilot the necessary training to obtain their Private Pilot Rating, Instrument Pilot Rating and Commercial Pilot Add-On Rating. 2. The bid must be all inclusive to include aircraft rental (including check ride rental), simulator/AATD rental, flight/simulator instruction, ground instruction and test prep, study materials, FAA written test fees and Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) fees (paid direct). The bid must also include the Part 61 or Part 141 minimums for ground and flight instruction. 3. The contractor shall be properly insured to conduct the services described herein. The bidder shall provide with their bid response, a certificate of insurance, verifying the bidder is properly insured. 4. The contractor shall be located within 50nm of: VSP Aviation Headquarters 7521 Airfield Drive North Chesterfield, VA, 23237 5. The bidder shall submit with their bid response, documentation of such certifications verifying the bidder is authorized to conduct the training services described herein. 6. The contractor must comply with all FAA regulations, OEM guidelines, and Virginia State Police policies and procedures regarding training and safety. 7. The contractor must be able to provide suitably equipped aircraft and FAA certified flight instructors to support instruction for at least two (2) days a week on dates be agreed upon between the contractor and the purchasing agency. Training shall be coordinated with the designated VSP representative within 10 days of award and training shall be completed within 60 days of award. Priority Scheduling is requested.
