The program should include, but not limited to: A. Designed to serve kindergarten through fifth grade students B. Employ appropriate and sufficient staff that are skilled, qualified, and committed to providing age appropriate enrichment opportunities for school age children in a safe, positive and highly engaging environment C. Maintain effective partnership with parents/guardians and school staff, including open communication and opportunities for feedback D. Curriculum shall be consistent with stated primary objectives, offering students the opportunity to make selections of the activities in which they participate E. Activities shall include homework time, tutors and special help, special events, nutrition, creative play outlets, arts and crafts, physical fitness time, health and safety activities, quiet time, quiet area, music, team building and esteem, games area, and clubs. F. Television is to enhance the educational program and shall not be used on a regular basis. G. Handicapped/disabled students must have access to the full program in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; The introductory program shall commence but is not limited to the following: A. Start with up to five (5) elementary schools with the potential for expansion at additional elementary schools, pre-kindergarten, and before school services B. A maximum of seventy-five (75) students at each school C. The programs shall be held in the school’s cafeterias at each school’s location D. The program shall be offered during the school year from the first day of the academic school year, through the last day of the academic school year E.
