• Obtain all required permits (e.g. VDOT) prior to beginning any work along roadsides. Ensure that workers have adequate safety training and safety equipment (e.g. safety vests, gloves, and “crew working” signs). Selected organization will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment (e.g. litter grabbers), and supplies (e.g. bags) for a turn-key service to the County. All bags must be standard 4 mil contractor grade 33-gallon, orange in color. • The selected organization will be responsible for both the collection and disposal of the litter and tires. The Accomack County Northern Landfill and Southern Transfer Station will accept the bagged waste and tires free-of-charge. At the time of this writing, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will transport bagged waste and tires from County roadsides to the Northern Landfill and Southern Transfer Station free-of-charge.
