Specifications include, but are not limited to: CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform auto body repair services in accordance with the manufacturer’s service manual(s). • Operate a fully functional, staffed, and equipped auto body repair facility. • Be fully licensed and certified in accordance with federal, state and local laws pertaining to automotive repair in the City of Charlottesville. • Operate a paint booth that is in legal compliance with all applicable laws, codes and is Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compliant. • Be available and capable of receiving inoperable vehicles towed to the facility by a third party within 24 hour’s notice. • Cooperate with and allow vehicle inspections from the City’s insurance provider, a contracted appraiser, and any third-party insurers involved in a clam investigation related to the vehicle damage. • Coordinate and provide a full estimate of repair costs and turnaround time to the City’s contracted vehicle damage appraiser and the appropriate City department that uses the vehicle. • Perform all work in strict conformance with the appraisal furnished by the City’s contracted vehicle damage appraiser. Repair costs shall not exceed the appraisal without prior approval of the City. • Provide digital photographs via email of vehicle damage to the City for recording and claim filing purposes.
