1. Vendor shall furnish all labor, tools, specialized equipment (traffic controls, mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, spreaders, sprayers etc.), material, supplies, supervision and transportation to perform landscape maintenance services as specifically outlined in this section. 2. The contract shall include 36 mowings. Two (2) mowing in March. Four (4) in the months of April, May, June, July, August, September and October and two (2) in the month of November with the final cut on or before December 1st. If locations need additional service, three (3) additional mowings may be scheduled at the Contract Managers discretion. Any additional tasks shall be included as “As Need Services” when required by the Contract Manager. 3. The contractor is required to produce in writing, the dates of mowing at the project site. This can be in email, written statement, or invoice formats. Details must be included on all forms of task verification. The Contract Manager will coordinate with the contractor on a weekly basis to determine the dates of service. 4. It is the responsibility of the contractor to remove litter and debris before each mowing. Bagging clippings is not required; however, care should be used to avoid directing clippings on to pedestrians, streets, vehicles, porches, walkways, flower beds, sidewalks, driveways, businesses and parking lots. If grass is overgrown and heavily dewed, the grass shall be dragged first to avoid clumping. Mowing shall not happen immediately after rain events over .5” to avoid tracking and clumping. 5. All grass clippings on vehicles, curb and gutter, storm inlets, roadways, play area equipment, porches, beds, walkways, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots shall be blown clean after each mowing. 6. All vegetated areas around utility boxes, valve and meter boxes, signs, trees, shrubs, buildings, posts, fences, flower beds, sidewalks and curbs shall be edged with lawn trimmers after each mow. 7. Contractor shall be responsible for replacement of turf, trees, shrubs or ornamentals damaged by contractor’s maintenance operations. 8. Contractor shall promptly repair at their cost, any damages done by the Contractor’s maintenance operations to public or private property. Examples include windshields, windows, vehicle scratches, turf, ornamentals, vegetation, utilities etc. 9. Proposal to include the cost for a Spring and Fall seasonal remediation and preparation to enhance the appearance of all contracted areas.
