Specifications include, but are not limited to: Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Department of Buildings and General Services, Office of Purchasing and Contracting (hereinafter the “State”) is seeking to establish contracts with one or more companies that can provide the State of Vermont and its agencies and departments with Trash Removal, Food Scraps Collection, and Recycling Services (to include mandated recyclables under 10 V.S.A. 6621a(9)). Trash removal and recycling services will be ordered by the agency as required. Under the Universal Recycling Law (ACT 148), all haulers must provide for collection of recyclables effective July 1, 2015 and by July 1, 2020 haulers must offer collection of food scraps.
