Description

Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project entails excavation and removal of lead projectiles from a sand berm at the western end of the primary shooting lane. It is our understanding that this work is slated to commence in 2019. The estimated dimensions of the excavation are 100 feet wide, x 12 feet high, x 3 feet deep. Thus, an estimated 133 cubic yards of materials will be removed from the sand berm. These materials will be power-sifted on-site to segregate the lead projectiles. NRC will re-use the sand to rebuild the berm after it has been sifted. All lead waste will be properly containerized and shipped for recycling. Affected areas will be seeded and mulched with erosion control matting.
