Specifications include, but are not limited to: We require completion of an agreed upon number of surveys that will be representative of the distribution of smokers and non-smokers in the state. Surveys should be phone based with a 50/50 to 20/80 landline/cellphone distribution using ; CDC’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) sampling protocol for landlines and cell phones. We also require implementation of the modified BRFSS disposition codes. We expect the sample of respondents will be proportionally distributed across all counties within Vermont. We would like to achieve a 40% or greater response rate. Additionally, we require weighting of survey data using raking methodology, such that it is representative of the Vermont adult population. ; • A survey that will take between 15-18 minutes to administer using the CDC’s BRFSS protocol for sampling landlines and cellphones • Survey methodology that will yield an adequate sample of smokers and non-smokers for analysis of sub-groups within each sample, with minimal design effects (Results should be comparable to previous survey findings).
