2.1 BOILER REMOVAL- EXCLUDED FROM SCOPE OF MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR The two existing H.B. Smith 3500 Mills fuel oil boilers, and their associated breeching are to be removed and disposed of by a remediation contractor. All asbestos associated with the boilers and breeching will be remediated. The chimney will be made accessible for future use. The hydronic piping, electrical wiring, and fuel oil lines will be disconnected and safely terminated. 2.2 DEMOLITION OF OIL BOILER ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT or The existing circulator pumps shall be removed and returned to the owner. All valves, gauges, sensors and transmitters may be reused by the contractor on this project if they are in serviceable condition, they are to be returned to the owner. All removed Victaulic piping and fittings may be reused on this project if in serviceable condition. 2.3 NEW PROPANE BOILERS After reviewing building loads, and available propane boiler types, TVES has identified the following project option for the replacement of the two H.B. Smith 3500 Mills fuel oil boilers. - (3) Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 750 or approved equal. Contractor must submit alternates, if any, for owner review prior to bid submission.
