Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Academic Interventions: Contracted staff will help participating students meet the State's challenging student academic achievement standards expected for all children by:a.using effective methods and instructional strategies that are evidenced-based to supplement the core academic program of the school; b.coordinating with the regular education program; c.providing instruction by licensed teachers (educators must carry one of the endorsements considered appropriate to the subject(s) they are teaching); d.providing baseline assessment and ongoing progress monitoring to inform Title I, Part A services; ande.participating as needed in professional development that supports the provision of the above services.Please see the Vermont Agency of Education website for information regarding the Common Core State Standards as well as State and Local Assessments. 2.Professional Development: Contracted staff will develop and facilitate opportunities for professional development and/or ongoing, organized professional collaboration for school staff who work directly with participating children, related to Title I, Part A services and intents.
