The Vermont Fire Academy is seeking proposals for the sale, assembly, and installation of a 1000- gallon propane tank on a skid with a lockable metal cabinet containing manual valve-controlled discharges. This unit will be used to supply propane gas to live fire training props via connected hoses. This bid does not include the propane gas hoses used between supply and the prop or the prop. The installation shall meet the following minimum specifications: 2.2.1.1. 1000 gallon above ground propane tank with lockable dome cover. 2.2.1.2. Skid system with mounted propane tank and control cabinet attached. 2.2.1.3. Lockable control/storage cabinet to house all control components necessary for the operation of the system. 2.2.1.4. All metal components of the tank, skid, cabinet, and piping (excluding fittings) shall be finished to prevent rusting or be constructed of a rust resistant material. 2.2.1.5. Supply piping shall be ¾ inch metallic piping. 2.2.1.6. The following discharges shall be provided with the following connection points inside of or adjacent to the control cabinet: 2.2.1.6.1. One (1) – Vapor line with adjustable regulator (set at 100 psi), full port ball valve, and terminated with Acme hose adapter (PN# Rego 3175) and Acme plug (PN# Rego 5765PR). 2.2.1.6.2. One (1) – Liquid line with adjustable regulator (set at 50 psi), hydrostatic relief valve (450 psi set point), full port ball valve, and terminated with Acme hose adapter (PN# Rego 5764D) and Acme Cap (PN# Rego 3175P) 2.2.1.7. All discharges shall have manual shut-off valves installed in an easily accessible location before the hose connection points. 2.2.1.8. Sediment traps and wye strainers shall be installed if necessary based on designed configuration. 2.2.1.9. Piping Connection Detail diagram is attached to this RFP in Exhibit A-1
