Playground Equipment • A toddler playground area including an inspired selection of features appropriate for 2 to 5-year-old. • A school-age playground area including an inspired selection of features appropriate for 5 to 12-year-olds. • Multi-generational swing options should also be included. Rubberized Safety Surfacing For the playground area indicated in the Contract Plans, provide the following services: • Procure and install either poured-in-place rubberized surfacing or rubberized tiles. • Rubberized surfacing must be installed over a pervious base to comply with City Stormwater regulations. • Specify, procure, and install adequate base course to support rubberized surfacing. • Minimum 10-year warranty on rubberized surfacing against structural failure caused by defective materials or defective workmanship. Add/Alt: Concrete Path around the Playground • Concrete path connecting the existing park path into the playground and around the playground to act as a ‘track’ for balance bikes and/or mobility devices to travel around the playground and to seating areas.
