2.1.1.1. Engines are (2) 3208 Marine Cat diesel engines. 2.1.1.2. If modifications to the vessel, including but not limited to hull and vessel are required to remove and install engines, it is the contractor’s responsibility to repair in kind. Any modification must be approved by the state in writing, prior to commencing work. 2.1.1.3. The MV Island Runner is located in its winter storage at the Shelburne Shipyard. All work shall take place at the Shelburn Shipyard and in compliance with rules and regulations of the shipyard. Unless otherwise approved in writing. 2.1.2.Contractor shall procure and install compatible replacement engines, transmissions and associated components, with the following specifications. 2.1.2.1. Engines must meet the equivalent amount of horsepower of previous engines required to power the MV Island Runner. 2.1.2.2. Engines must not exceed the available space clearances in the engine room. 2.1.2.3. All navigation controls and preventative alarm systems must be installed and compatible with existing helm. 2.1.2.4. Installation must be compatible with current Hamilton HJ292 Jet drives. 2.1.3.Contractor shall perform all required sea trials in compliance with United States Coast Guard rules and regulations. 2.1.4.Contractor shall operate the vessel for the entirety of the break in period of the engines 2.1.5.Installation of all components shall be in accordance with all manufacturer’s instruction and United States Coast Guard regulations. 2.1.6. Contactor shall provide training for crew members including basic maintenance and operation of the vessel. 2.1.7. All installed components must pass United States Coast Guard Inspection. 2.1.8.Additionally, The state may be interested in the following services to be bid as an add alternate. 2.1.8.1. Procurement and installation of Inflatable Buoyant Apparatus Systems compliant with United States Coast Guard Regulations. Revere USGC IBA Systems or approved equivalent. 2.1.8.2. Extended Service Coverage on all installed equipment for 60 months 2500 hours
