Work tasks for the wall repair will generally include bolting the existing steel sheeting to the existing concrete floodwall, installing a new C-channel along the top of the sheeting, excavating accumulated river sediment along the opposite side of the channel from the wall, installing 6 feet of Type IV stone fill in the channel up to the top of the sheeting, and reinstalling 1 foot of natural river bed material over the stone fill. Work tasks for the bank stabilization will include relocating some of the existing stone armor, retrieval of heavy stone fill from a nearby sediment bar where it was deposited following the flood, furnishing and installing additional stone to extend the armoring 150 feet, and hydroseeding the slope.
