1. Permitting: a. BPRW shall obtain: City of Burlington Zoning Permit b. The Contractor shall obtain: City of Burlington Building Permit 2. Installation Deliver and set up a complete 40’ x 80’ roller skating rink including but not limited to the following: Impact absorbing, non-slip modular outdoor flooring that meets the following specifications: • Shall be constructed of blended, high-impact copolymer polypropylene • Shall have a life expectancy of 25 years or more • Shall have minimum of 8 connection tabs per side • Shall have no vertical movement between tiles, no curling, etc. • Shall provide friction and impact absorption specific to roller skating ‘Pro Hockey’ or comparable boards around entire perimeter of rink with the exception of two access gates/openings. At least one, and preferably both, shall meet or exceed ADA standards. Please provide details. The boards shall meet the following specifications: • Boards/panels shall be rotationally molded, two-walled, linear polyethylene dasher panels. • Modular panels connect using male locking mechanisms dropping into female recesses. • Standard panel sizes are 2’, 4’ or 8’ in length. Curved panels must conform to a standard 5’ or 20’ rink radius. • Panels accommodate upper containment as an integral part of the panel design. • Boards/panels shall be constructed with self-contained male connecting mechanisms dropping into female recesses. Male and female locks which secure with ½” or 3/4” PVC connecting dowels are strictly forbidden. • Polyethylene plastic used must be all virgin material. • Materials shall be UV stable against direct outdoor light, without deterioration to product, for a minimum of 8 years. Material Properties: • All edges shall be rounded for safety. • A molded recess shall be continuous along the top of boards. • Holes shall be molded into the board at 24” intervals along the board. • Holes shall be 2-1/2” in diameter & vertically aligned at the top & bottom of the board. • Holes accommodate upper containments support poles and/or take-off adapters (if needed) • Placement of holes every 24” allows for increased flexibility in shape and positioning of system • Panels must have a wide-open surface on the front of the panel allowing for the placement of advertising or other direction. • All boxes and gate options shall be formed from existing components. No special-order parts are required. • Mounting Options: • Professional Hockey Boards / panels can be mounted permanently to concrete with the same poles used to hang the mesh containment netting or using our customized 1” anchor holes with anchor plates (concrete only). 3. Training Provide staff and advocacy partners with training on setup and takedown. 4. Cleanup Thorough cleanup of site. Disposal of some materials may be available on site.
