The selected firm will be expected to provide the following services: Site Inspection & Documentation • Perform a field assessment of both abutment walls. • Document existing conditions with photos, notes, and structural observations. Structural Assessment • Evaluate the structural integrity and stability of the existing walls. Ο Assess the extent of erosion and stone displacement. Ο Determine whether the damage poses an immediate safety risk. • Engineering Recommendations • Provide short- and long-term recommendations for stabilization or reconstruction. • Develop recommendations for repair or replacement. • Identify compliance gaps with current VTrans bridge standards. Reporting o Submit a written engineering report summarizing findings, including diagrams or sketches. • Include cost estimates for recommended remediation options. • Present findings to the Selectboard or designated municipal staff as requested.
