Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is looking to get Highway and Aviation Deicer, to help protect equipment, highway and runway system during winter season. All chemicals shall comply with the State of Vermont specifications. The Contractor shall submit a Quality Control plan at the time of bid submission. The Vermont Agency of Transportation requests that Contractors provide test data annually and upon request; certifying material meets all contract specifications. 2.1.Liquid Deicer: Product offered shall be a blend of Liquid Magnesium Chloride with and without an Organic Based Performance Enhancer (OBPE). The OBPE may be derived or prepared from a variety of sources including, but not limited to, agricultural processing residues, partially or wholly engineered synthetic materials or combinations of the two.
