The South Lake CWSP is interested in hiring a contractor to complete construction of an underground stormwater infiltration system located in the Town Park of Fair Haven, Vermont. The project includes installation of an underground treatment tank system that will treat 17,000 CF of water (of 36,400 of generated WQv). Fitzgerald Environmental Associates created the final stormwater design for this project (11/25/2024). This project consists of an urban drainage area of 25.97 acres, including 9.73 acres of impervious surfaces (largely paved roads, driveways and rooftops) that currently drains to the Poultney River via the Castleton River. The project includes three main activities: boring under Park Street (or otherwise running new pipe) from an existing storm drain at Park Street and Caernarvon Street to the town Park; installing a swirl separator/pretreatment unit; and excavating for, backfilling with washed stone, and installing an assemblage of R-Tanks in the park.
