Base Bid - Portion of Hortonville Rd -5,420 lf – Asphalt Paving From Shrewsbury Town line (at end of existing asphalt) to a point at the VELCO ROW(at end of existing asphalt). This section of roadway was previously reclaimed in 2021 and is gravel surface. See attached maps (page 4 & 5) for limits. Base Bid - Item 01 - Portion of Hortonville Rd – Grading – Lump Sum • Utilize roadway grade to grade to provide positive draining asphalt road. Any additional gravel needed will be provided and delivered by the Town. • Match into any existing driveways and roadways (Perry and Windy Hill) • Compact with vibratory roller • Provide stepped milled transition to existing roadway pavements. Base Bid - Item 02 - Portion of Shunpike Road – Asphalt Paving - Ton • Apply emulsion tack coat prior on stepped mill transitions. • Install 2 ½” base course of Type II VTrans Approved Hot Mix • Install 1 ½” top course of Type III VTrans Approved Hot Mix • The estimated quantity of asphalt paving is 3030 tons. • All driveways to have a two-foot paved apron (paved driveways to be milled for smooth transition prior to overlay). • Mill transitions for butt joints when tying into existing roads. Base Bid - Item 03 – Portion of Shunpike Road – Shoulder Gravel – Cubic Yard • Install shoulder gravel as needed along roadway edges and drives. • Approximately 270 cy.
