The Town of Middlebury Department of Public Works (DPW) seeks qualifications for services under the following categories: Asset Management – systems implementation, program development. Civil Engineering – general municipal infrastructure support. Water Resources – including stormwater, wastewater, and potable water. Transportation – roadway design (including roads, bridges, culverts, slopes), planning, and safety enhancements. Structural Engineering – analysis, design, and retrofits. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering (MEP) –HVAC design, electrical systems, geothermal design, solar design, plumbing, fire protection, and other related areas. Surveying – boundary, topographic, and construction layout. Geotechnical Engineering – subsurface investigations and site assessments. Architectural Services – municipal building design. Landscape Architecture – site planning and beautification projects. Tree Services/Arborist – canopy management and consultation. Building Maintenance – systems maintenance, repairs. Project Development – planning, feasibility, permitting, and review. Individual project scopes, budgets, and timelines will be negotiated with selected firms as projects arise. Firms may submit qualifications for one or multiple categories. Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to: Planning studies and feasibility assessments Preliminary engineering and design development Preparation of construction documents and technical specifications Cost estimating and value engineering Permitting assistance and regulatory compliance support Construction phase services, including administration and inspection Asset management program setup and implementation Facility maintenance planning and execution oversight Public engagement and stakeholder coordination
