Task 1 – Initiate Project: • RFP issued and sub-contractor(s) selected (if applicable) • Create a work plan, including detailed outreach and communications plan • Meet with DEC Lakes and Ponds Project Manager and Tactical Basin Planner to review and/or revise work plan and schedule • If applicable, attend the Lake Wise Assessor Spring Training (required for anyone who has not been previously trained) • Copy of RFP, signed sub-contract, and statement of reasoning for contractor selection (if applicable) • Work and Outreach Plans with Timeline May 2025 $800 Task 2 – Kickoff Meeting • Hold a kickoff meeting with stakeholders (e.g., Lake Shore landowners, Lake Association, Town Selectboard, Conservation Commission, etc.) to present plan and encourage sign-ups for assessments • Press release announcing start of campaign • Meeting Minutes • Press Release June 2025 $1,500 Task 3A - Shoreland Assessments • Complete Lake Wise Assessments using the DEC Lake Wise App and report template for all interested landowners • Individual payment may be made for each assessment completed up to 20 assessments combined with task 3B • All Lake Wise Assessment Reports completed by November 2025 (up to a cumulative total of 20 with task 3B) November 2025 $3,000
