Specifications include, but are not limited to: Decontamination to rid watercraft of Utah's Aquatic Invasive Species. The goal of this Proposal is to identify at least one Contractor in each of the following geographical areas to provide decontamination services to the boating public: • Kanab • Big Water • Ticaboo • Hanksville • Blanding • St. George Decontaminations will require the following equipment: • A heating element that maintains water at temperatures of 120° and 140° F • A water pump/system able to deliver water at a minimum rate of 3 gallons/minute • A water system/tank capable of delivering a minimum of 100 gallons of water continuously • A water system capable of reaching a pressure of 3,000 psi • A set of motor “earmuffs” for outboard and inboard/outboard engines • A “fake-a-lake” plunger attachment or equivalent for inboard engines and ballast tanks • A low pressure diffuser for thoroughly soaking accessible internal tanks and other external areas • A spray wand/gun for washing all exterior areas • A container or something similar that can hold water and is large enough to accommodate personal floatation devices and SCUBA gear; salt (KCl) will be required for decontamination of SCUBA equipment • A secure and reliable disposal method for decontamination wastewater that ensures effluent is free of quagga and zebra mussels and meets local, state, and federal requirements for effluent discharge
