Specifications include, but are not limited to: Conduct annual health checks on approximately 700 head of bison. Pregnancy check approximately 300 cows annually. Provide and administer bangs vaccinations on approximately 120 heifer calves annually. Provide metal USDA tags for bison. Administer parasite control through injection and/or pour-on control on approximately 700 head as warranted from fecal monitoring. Monitor parasite loads by collecting and analyzing 30-40 fecal samples during May through September. Collection must be conducted during 4 discreet sampling periods with 8-10 samples collected each period. Bleed approximately 230 head annually for brucellosis testing in preparation for sale. Transport blood samples to USU Diagnostic lab for brucellosis testing (rapid turn-around time is critical to proceed with bison sale). Administer and read TB tests on bison being shipped out of state (varies). Prepare health certificates for bison being shipped out of state. Trich test sale bulls (18 mo. +) if being shipped out of state. Provide sleeves, blood tubes, lube, shot needles and syringes. Take blood/tissue samples as needed. Provide sufficient staff to complete procedures detailed above to process bison through the chutes at an average rate of 25 head per hour. Provide medical attention to horses injured during roundup. Must be on-call and within 45-minute response time during the roundup. Provide needed medications other than Ultrabac 8 (i.e., Ivomec pour-on, Ivermectin injection, IBRPR3). Provide sharps disposal of needles and syringes. Contractor shall charge the Division per hour for work performed
