Specifications include, but are not limited to: Granite School District (GSD) Child Nutrition Department is looking at switching from using a frozen prepared pizza at our secondary schools to a freshly prepared delivered pizza. GSD would be using this for reimbursable and as an a la carte item for students and teachers. This is a significant change from what we have been doing which makes the quantities a bit hard to predict. Varieties of pizza are to include but not limited to: Cheese, Pepperoni, Vegetarian, Hawaiian. We encourage vendors to propose other popular flavor combinations they believe would be popular in a secondary school setting (i.e. Chicken Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, Greek, etc.) Pork free options preferred. Pizza size shall be 16” Round and sliced into 8 equal pieces. The pizza crust (other than any gluten free options) must be made primarily with whole grain flour and credit as whole grain rich under the provisions of the USDA’s Child Nutrition Programs. Pizza’s will be delivered to the schools in a single box containing the 16” sliced pizza. For service, our staff may place the individual slices in boxes for grab and go. The individual slice pizza box should be the type that fully enclose the pizza slice. Please provide pricing options for these boxes separately when submitting pricing information. Boxes must include vendor name imprinted or a sticker with vendor name. Options offered cannot exceed the following nutritional limits per serving: Calories – 400 Saturated Fat – 6g Total Fat – 16g Sodium – 700mg Vendor shall be mindful of equal size, fully cut slices to satisfy student customer preferences. Small or poorly cut slices will be held back and credited.
