Specifications include, but are not limited to: Youth may be likely to exhibit moderate to high risk behaviors and may have multiple delinquency matters pending beforethe Court.In these cases, the judge will often desire that a comprehensive assessment/evaluation be completed prior toentering a final disposition and will therefore order an appropriate assessment or evaluation based upon the needs of theyouth. The youth generally reside in the physical custody of their parent(s)/guardian(s), however, some youth may be heldin the detention center pending the completion of the assessment/evaluation.The probation department of the Fifth District Juvenile Court adheres to the Risk, Needs and Responsivity principles of the“What Works” philosophy of change when developing case plans for youth under its jurisdiction. Hence, assessments andevaluations under this contract shall include these elements and address the dynamic risk factors of each youth, theircriminogenic needs, and how the interventions could best be implemented
