Specifications include, but are not limited to: • UCA needs to install two of its omni-directional antennas (approximately 8’long) on the tower of the proposed site. RX antenna shall be at or around the 60ft mark and TX antenna shall be at or around the 40ft mark. UCA will also install a TTA (tower top amplifier) at the RX antenna height with a coax jumper from TTA to RX antenna, one run of 7/8(AVA5-50) coax to the TX antenna and two 1/2” (LDF4-50A) coax runs to base of the TTA. All coax runs will be secured down the tower face using appropriate waveguide and coax cushions. Coax will be terminated at polyphaser inside the shelter. We will need 3 ground kits on each run of coax (top, base, entry port), weather seal all connectors using self-adhesive material and install entry boots at the entry port. Coaxes will need to be tested to ensure correct installation. UCA will provide the antenna mounts, antennas, ground kits, coax hangers, coax, and connectors. Any metallic hardware used outside and especially on the tower will be stainless steel, aluminum, or hot dipped galvanized steel (no electroplated type galvanizing, etc.) • UCA will require at a minimum two to three 7’ equipment racks in the shelter to house our various radio and or backhaul equipment. • UCA requires that the shelter be secured with a locking apparatus, weather tight and rodent free with a backup generator and air conditioning with adequate capabilities for backup of UCA equipment. Our minimum standards require a 10KW backup generator and a 2 ½ ton A/C unit. • UCA requires 24x7 access to the site and the road to be reasonably accessible by 4x4 vehicle with the exception of winter months where access would be done by snowcat or other means.
