Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop a detailed reporting plan that outlines how the proposer will keep in regular communication with the UTA Government Relations Director regarding State and Local legislative and executive branch discussions and processes. Review on a continuing basis all current and proposed legislation, policies, and programs that could affect UTA and report regularly to the UTA Government Relations Director. Find and develop strategic opportunities and avenues for UTA to communicate with legislators and other elected officials and staff regarding legislation and other policy matters that may impact the organization. Assist UTA in the development and execution of innovative solutions for accomplishing a variety of policy and funding initiatives. Maintain excellent working relationships with members of the Utah State Legislature, legislative leadership, and support staff. Maintain excellent working relationships with the Governor and members of the state’s executive branch of government. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local government laws and regulations, including External Government Relations disclosure reports, and adhere to all reporting deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned by UTA.
