Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop and implement a communications plan and public and stakeholder outreach and engagement plan. As part of the communications plan, the CONSULTANT will be expected to: communicate the actions, deliberations, and outcomes of the AUTHORITY with the public through marketing, media relations, and other methods of publicity; and work with the AUTHORITY to develop and communicate key messages to increase recognition, build credibility, and deepen understanding of the process and its objectives and the outcomes within the area. As part of the public and stakeholder outreach and engagement plan, the CONSULTANT will be expected to: identify key stakeholders; gather information from the public regarding: core values; vision for the area; and preferences among land use options and economic development strategies; and develop and implement a plan to engage, involve, and collaborate directly with the public, which may include: scheduling, promoting, and conducting town hall or similar meetings in affected areas to solicit public involvement and refine concepts; and conducting one-on-one interviews, surveys (online or print), focus groups, and charrettes.
