Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor shall: a. Provide residents with a cut and style, crew cut, or trim approved by DHS facility staff; b. Work with the facility director or designee to determine the number of times per month the Contractor will provide services; c. Ensure equipment is in working order and keep the work area free from an accumulation of waste materials. The Contractor understands they will be entering a secure facility and shall at all times, account for all tools and supplies brought into the facility to ensure youth safety. Upon completing the work, the Contractor shall remove from the premises any tools, equipment, and materials that are not the property of DHS, and leave the work area in a clean, neat, and orderly condition satisfactory to DHS; d. Pay for any damages to DHS property, as well as the property of a third party, resulting from failure to comply with the requirements of this contract or failure to exercise reasonable care in performing the work; e. Provide haircuts on weekends and evenings to avoid interference with facility programming. Hours are to be designated by the facility director or designee at each facility; and f. Document the date of each haircutting session, beginning and ending time of each haircutting session, and the number of haircuts completed during each session. The Contractor will not have access to the DHS sign-in sheet for invoicing purposes. 2. DHS shall: a. Provide adequate space for the Contractor to cut residents’ hair; b. Provide DHS staff supervision to ensure resident compliance, safety, and security; c. Provide a standard chair for hair cutting use (DHS does not have a barber chair); and d. Provide a sign in sheet for youth receiving haircuts.
