Specifications include, but are not limited to: The population to be served includes domestic violence survivors and their children who have reason to believe they are at risk and need shelter for their safety, information about available community resources, and advocacy on their behalf or referral to services that will assist them in escaping violent homes. This includes the community at large which shall receive information and education about domestic violence and domestic violence services. Dependent children up to 18 years of age may be housed in the shelter. Adult males may be housed in the shelter depending upon the shelter policy; however, if Contractor chooses not to provide shelter for males at the primary shelter program, Contractor is required to make other arrangements for emergency shelter and related services.
