Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specialized educational services including middle level best practices, professional learning for staff, in school coaching, and application evaluation. The Schools to Watch Utah State Facilitator would be responsible for the following: • Coordinating and facilitating the annual Schools to Watch Leadership Academy. This consists of working with current STW principals who host sessions, facilitating each session according to the theme, coordinating supplies, lunch, logistics for travel when necessary, and communicating regularly with participants. This also entails visiting each school participating in the spring to support planning for future implementation • Coordinating the yearly application process for schools going through first time and re-designations. This includes visiting each school (8 total this year) and presenting the STW program to faculties and keeping in close communication with principals and leadership teams as they undergo the process, setting up the self-assessments for each school and coordinating and training visiting teams • Providing site-based professional development based on school goals. Currently this includes working with two schools on co-teaching (4 days each) and three schools on teaming (3 days for group) • Serving as Liaison with the Utah Middle Level Association and coordinating joint efforts to communicate with every public and charter school principal. • Coordinating 2 yearly Intervention Conventions based on feedback solicited from administrators as to the themes • Work with STW state directors and members of the National Forum to Accelerate Middle School Reform to further program goals • Providing resources to schools and districts across the state on effective middle level programs and practices • Working to keep all documents up to date and bringing on line an updated website
