Specifications include, but are not limited to: The state is seeking to increase contract 216045 to continue the Transition University project by funding staff and administrative support, transition-related video/animation products costs etc. The Utah Parent Center/Utah Family Voices is the only Family-to-Family Health Information Center in Utah. Family to Family Health Information Centers were established by the Family Opportunity Act of 2005 (FOA) as part of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (PL 109-171) to provide information to parents of children with disabilities and special health needs. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 extended the F2F HICs. These centers must be family-staffed/run by families and parents of children with special needs. Additional funding allows the Transition University project to continue by funding staff and administrative support; funds travel costs for one staff to attend AMCHP annual conference; and pays for transition-related video/animation production costs. Request to increase total contract amount. Consultative services to parents of children with special health care needs including Autism Spectrum Disorders, and the Bureau of Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN).
