Specifications include, but are not limited to: Assess the feasibility, design, and engineer the extension and connectivity of high-speed fiber broadband service to the remaining unserved businesses, homes, and community institutions in Tooele valley in preparation (“up-front costs”) for construction, operation, and maintenance of the network extension. As shown on the map below, considerable portions of Tooele City and Grantsville, for example, do not appear to be served by fiber (referring to areas colored gray). Although some residents and businesses may not choose to subscribe, we believe that interest will be high, given expansion in remote working and the fact that nearly 75% of workers living in Tooele County travel every day to work in other counties, with 41% traveling more than 25 miles each way.
